Approach to collecting

A Lunar Perspective has been a work of collection and digestion of the words and works of others. It has been a slow chewing.
Inevitably my position - personal, temporal, geographic - shapes how and where I collect materials and whose voices I hear. In this way, the works collected within A Lunar Perspective come from my encounters with people, texts, books, artworks, talks, film, exhibitions, eavesdroppings, conversations, newspapers, magazines, podcasts, lectures, performances - each one leading to new encounters, creating a growing web - the edges continually expanding (aspirational lists of things to read stored on my computer for another day).

The web of collections is particular and specific to my starting point and position, shaping what I come into contact with, how I might respond to it and what connections I might make with my next encounter.
