A PechaKucha at the De La Warr Pavilion

As part of Refugee Week 2019 - the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, East Sussex, had a PechaKucha evening with five speakers around ideas of creativity and migration

Images are from Google Earth
Using only images from Google Earth, the PechaKucha moved in an irregular orbit around Lunar House

Critiquing the use of mapping to create a totalising projection of the planet - inverting it to use that tool (Google Earth) to discuss and play with another way of thinking / seeing

Using Google Earth to observe the earth / moon / mars at the same scale from above - all as territories to be mapped and defined

Disrupting of the linearity of images zooming out - instead moving in a more unexpected way, disturbing the perfection of the view from above
